What is EduCERT?

EduCERT is a project funded by InnoMA, an initiative of the University of Mannheim in Germany in collaboration with the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre.

The goal of InnoMA is fostering the digitalization of teaching to promote internationalization and support the academic success of students.

Highlights:

• The EduCERT project issues digital certification of academic achievement, for instance succefully completing a university course or being in the top percentile of a given subject.
• The true innovation is that these certifications are issued on a permissionless blockchain; leveraging the power of immutability and global outreach of public blockchains.
• Digital certifications can be showcased to prospective employers or, in the future, they may be used as a recognition of credits for courses taken internationally.
• EduCERT started on September 2024 and it is in a beta phase; we are currently developing the infrastructure and we would love to get in contact with students, teachers, and interested parties worldwide for ideas and feedback.
